Welding Internship
Description
QuikCut, LLC is an advanced metal fabrication company located in Fort Wayne, IN. We provide a variety of products and services to companies in many different industries including storage containment, logistics, military, transportation, telecommunications, data systems, etc. We have a great deal of technology and processes on our campus including fiberoptic lasers, press brakes, turret punch press, waterjets, weld stations, robotic welding, blasting, painting and assembly.
We have provided weld internships for the past 5+ years. Our ultimate goal is to expose students to a full-service fab shop providing them with ample opportunities to weld on several different products. The student will be supervised by our weld shop success manager as well as other experienced team members depending on the type of project. The student will be assigned a mentor to make sure they have one main point of contact. Our hope is the student will improve on the weld skills taught in the classroom including blueprint reading, MIG welding (steel and aluminum), and working in a team environment. Ultimatley, assuming progress has been made and we feel the student is a great fit for our organization, we hope to hire interns into full-time positions with us.
