Description

The duties of the Historical/Curatorial Intern are focused on the research and interpretation of vehicles and related artifacts within the museum’s collection. The Intern will assist with study of the collection by providing basic research and some administrative support to the Executive Director.  The intern may be asked to participate in museum public outreach and assist in exhibit production to enhance the overall visitor experience.

 

 

Responsibilities

Organize vehicle/object research files

Assist with collections projects

Assist with other duties relating to collection, identifying, documenting, sorting, preserving, and restoring museum collections. 

Represent the International Monster Truck Museum in a professional manner.

Qualifications

2.5 Cumulative GPA

Computer proficiency

Interest in automotive history

Team player who can manage interoffice activity and work well with deadlines

Strong written communication, research, and organizational skills; detail-oriented work profile

Enrolment in an appropriate College or University degree program in history, museum studies, or related field
