The Role

Accounting interns at Slattery & Holman will team up with a mentor and experience a wide variety of the services we provide while developing a skill set that is directly applicable to their current educational program.  Our internship is project-based, with interns assisting in some or all stages of engagements.  We seek candidates who aspire to learn how to effectively and efficiently work through client financial statements for tax compliance while serving as part of a trusted advisory team to guide our client’s business and financial decisions.

As an intern, you will work on a tax engagement team and complete tax-related research and special projects as needed. Through this work, you will gain experience and knowledge in multiple industries, allowing you to encounter a variety of tax, accounting, and industry-specific situations. This is an in-person role, non-remote, non-hybrid.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
  • 3.5 GPA overall
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong desire to learn, assist, and grow in a team environment
  • Propensity to grasp and navigate the software used throughout the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
