About Us:
The Les Marie Firm is a full-service business management consultation firm with a common goal to help evolve and grow small businesses. We are seeking a proactive and organized intern to join our team as an Operations Management Assistant. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in streamlining workflows and enhancing client and vendor interactions. You will work closely with the Head of Operations, supporting efforts to improve our operational processes and help maintain efficient business relationships.

Supervision:

  • The intern will be directly supervised by the Head of Operations, who will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the internship.
  • Weekly check-ins will be scheduled with the Head of Operations to review progress, address any challenges, and set goals for the upcoming week.
  • The intern will have access to additional support from the Operations Team, including periodic one-on-one sessions with team members to gain insights into different aspects of operations management.

Training:

  • Initial Onboarding: The intern will receive an onboarding session covering company policies, an introduction to The Les Marie Firm’s mission and goals, and an overview of the operations department.
  • Systems Training: Hands-on training with relevant software and tools, including project management systems, data analysis tools, and communication platforms.
  • Workflow and Process Training: The intern will learn about existing operational workflows, client management strategies, and best practices for interacting with vendors and partners.
  • Project Coordination: The intern will be trained on how to coordinate projects, track timelines, and manage deliverables, with a focus on operational efficiency.

Mentorship:

  • The intern will receive direct mentorship from the Head of Operations, who will provide ongoing guidance, answer questions, and offer career advice.
  • Mentorship Sessions: Regular mentorship sessions will be scheduled with the Head of Operations to discuss the intern’s development, areas of interest, and potential career paths in operations management.
  • Skill Development: The Head of Operations will help the intern set personal development goals and provide resources and support to achieve these goals.

    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to streamline workflows and improve operational processes to enhance business efficiency.
  2. Client and Vendor Management:

    • Develop skills in managing client and vendor relationships, including effective communication, coordination, and follow-ups.

    • Learn how to coordinate projects within the operations department, including setting timelines, tracking milestones, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time.
  4. Data Analysis and Decision Making:

    • Build competency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights that support decision-making and strategic planning.
  5. Professional Communication:

    • Improve written and verbal communication skills through drafting reports, preparing presentations, and liaising with different departments.

    • Gain insight into the broader aspects of business management, including strategic planning, policy implementation, and process improvement within a consulting firm.

    • Assist in reviewing and organizing current operational workflows to identify areas for improvement.
    • Support the implementation of streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancies.
  • Client and Vendor Interactions:

    • Help manage communication with clients and vendors, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
    • Assist in coordinating meetings, follow-ups, and updates with key business partners.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling, document preparation, and data entry.
    • Help prepare reports and presentations related to operations management activities.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Support the coordination of projects aimed at improving operational processes.
    • Assist in tracking project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Collect and organize data related to client and vendor interactions to provide insights for decision-making.
    • Assist in preparing basic reports that highlight areas for operational improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A keen interest in learning about operations management and process optimization.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
