Description

We are looking for an intern, more specifically an Intern from Garrett High School in Garrett, Indiana to capture content through pictures and video the process of the Tribute Car project the welding trades class is working on. We run a small DMO and looking to have more movement for tourism projects around the county to make sure we are on-site as much as possible to promote the county. 

The intern would capture the junior and senier welding class each Tuesday and Wednesday for the duration of the school year and visually track their progress of working on the car to sufficiently provide deliverables to sponsors and partners of the project including the State of Indiana through the IDDC Grant. 

Aside from the tribute car project, the intern would work directly with me on events in the county such as community festivals and fairs to capture this content and use to further promote the communities and non-profits in DeKalb County.

The intern will also be working directly with my Creative Designer to help implement our annual marketing plan with all social media deliverables. If there is interst from the intern, we also have access to the Adobe Suite to work on his graphic design skills for events. 

Responsibilities

Utilize all of the digital assets at hand to capture events and community projects that promote tourism within DeKalb County. 

Tribute Car Video/ Drone/ Interviews: Every Tuesday and Wednesday until project completion (April 2025)

Qualifications

We have a Creator Director and a Visitor Experience Specialist on hand to provide mentorship and experienced feedback for the intern. This will be a win/win in many ways! 

All we need is someone with the ability to be coachable and have basic skillset in video capture and editing so they can continue to push the available content for the promotion of DeKalb County.
