Description
Responsible for assisting students and staff in the efficient use of technology hardware/software within the school setting, maintaining technology related equipment in a condition of operating excellence.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance (including hardware/software setup, installation, repair, cleaning) of technology equipment; uses technology maintenance request forms to track and report technology repairs to SCM Technology Department.
- Lead implementations, rollout, and management of instructional technologies at the school site
- Provide site support for upgrades to newer versions and releases of technologies
- Inventory and organize technology equipment in the school. Complete necessary inventory transfer/disposal/add forms.
- Coordinate with central IT for troubleshooting issues
- Participate in cross-site feedback teams in combination with centralized IT engineering and applications support
- Assist teachers in implementing School City of Mishawaka’s curriculum for integrating technology.
- Provide on-going technology training for school staff.
- Maintain a vigorous program of self-improvement in all areas of technology related to instructional use and programs.
- Participate in staff development programs designed to improve skills and level of expertise.
- Provide technology leadership in the school.
- Preview new software and make recommendations for purchase.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the building principal.
Qualifications
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including knowledge of and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Ability to work with students and adults.
- Ability to lift and move technology equipment.
- Ability to provide training for students and staff on proper use of hardware, software, and networks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to set up and operate technology equipment for meetings, classes, etc.
