Communications and Event Coordinator - 2025

Description

Teachers' Treasures is entering its 26th year of serving teachers in Marion County by offering them free classroom and office supplies.   Schools and their eligible professionals are able to shop if 60% of the students in the school are on free and reduced lunch program. Teachers spend so much of their own money making sure their students are not dealing with self concept issues being without the needed tools used every day in the classroom.   So many kids show up without and we want to make sure they are equipped with all the necessities!   

Responsibilities

This position will assist with project management of communications and events (shopping events, 5K, gala, donor management, and some event surrounding stewardship), along with store operations.   Because we are a small team, we can offer insight into event planning, communications, marketing,and stewardship, school operations, and how to make sure a store is up and running!   If you are interested in learning something in particular, we will do our best to make sure you have access to that area of learning.   

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who likes people, projects, meeting goals, and celebrating accomplishments as a team.   This position requires some writing and perhaps public speaking (but only if you want).  A high level of professionalism and solid work ethic is appreciated.   We are flexible here to accommodate scheduling.     If you are looking for a semester only position, let us know in cover letter.
