Communications/Journalism Internship - Spring 2025

Description

Interns with Hannah will learn much about the fast-paced world of government and policy journalism and 
communications. They will interview and connect with the influencers and policymakers in state 
government during the 2025 legislative session. Interns will work with Hannah’s team of experienced 
journalists to contribute work to Hannah News Service’s four Indiana Insight newsletters: Indiana 
Legislative Insight, Indiana Education Insight, Indiana Gaming Insight, and Indiana Transportation Insight. 

Responsibilities

Write articles and newsletter content 
• Research topics for newsletter content 
• Assist with interviews and covering events 
• Take notes at various legislative meetings 
• Collaborate with the Hannah News team on content and story ideas 

Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred in interested applicants, but not required: 
• Enrollment in a journalism or communications degree program 
• Work experience in a student newsroom, professional newsroom, or another media job
