Description
Ideal candidates for the Support Staff position will be high-energy, responsible, organized, and passionate about working with youth. Candidates should display patience, the ability to be flexible, have excellent behavior management skills, and the ability to make decisions and take initiative. Successful candidates will have Youth Work/Youth Development experience, and should be comfortable working with diverse, and system impacted youth and families.
Superivsion would be provided under the direction of our Day Rpeorting Program Manger daily.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 25 years of age Valid Driver’s License Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in experience
3 years demonstrated experience working with youth and families
3 years demonstrated experience in group facilitation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Great collaboration and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills
Experience with delivering Trauma Informed Care principles
Must pass all DCS required background checks
Responsibilities
Daily Duties:
Communicate student issues to Day Reporting Program Manager
Assistance with coordination of transportation services for students, as needed
Assist with daily supervision of program participants during academic enrichment activities, physical and recreational activities, field trip activities, and social emotional development activities
Assist with Small group facilitation
Asssist with reporting writing and report Attendance to Probation/DCS appointments and Court hearings as needed
Maintain a positive, nurturing, and uplifting environment for all program participants
Assist in record keeping, data collection, and student assessments
Communication with parents and families of program participants
Any other duties as directed by leadership as needed
