Learning & Development Administrative Intern

Apex is seeking a professional learning and development administrative intern to assist the team in meeting aggressive external and internal learning and development objectives. Support on-site corporate trainer in the implementation of a new learning management system (LMS) through collaboration with departmental managers to prioritize written procedure updates and content building in the LMS. A strong attention to detail is required as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Seeking undergrad (at least junior status) committed to completing a 12-14 week internship in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with Director of Apex Academy to prioritize training content for updates and transition to new learning management system (LMS)
- Review written procedures with department managers and training leads, and make appropriate edits including screen shots
- Updating the LMS
- Assist managers in identifying skills and competencies needed for each role to create career and learning paths
- Follow up with employees regarding educational tasks, as required
- Participate in meetings as requested
- Some clerical and manual labor duties
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college, junior or higher status pursuing a degree in business, communication, education, or related field
- Current minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (flexibility as needed)
- Strong organization, time management, and analytical ability
- Comfortable with the idea of public speaking
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and other Office programs
- Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
- Able to demonstrate and always maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Eagerness to learn and make an impact
