Summer 2025 New Product Development (NPD) Intern

Description

Assist the Engineering Departments with various assignments including but not limited to: Continuous improvement initiatives, scrap reductions projects, gating and risering design, new product qualification, process design/optimization, non-conforming material review, and production support.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Work with Engineering to qualify new tooling and processes.
2. Develop and maintain tooling qualification schedule.
3. Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) to identify root cause of defects found in production.
4. Work with Tech Writers to ensure work instructions are generated for each operation.
5. Work with all engineering team to track SR and SRT jobs through processing.
6. Keep a running log on where parts are in the process.
7. Attend the NPD meetings, scheduling meetings, FAI meetings.
8. Participate in review of blueprint/3D model, customer specifications, and process instructions to ensure conformance.
9. Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and/or NPD Manager

Qualifications

Attending a four-year college for Engineering (Preferably Material Science or Mechanical)
