Public Health Internship
Description
Centers of Wellness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focusing on improving the health and well-being of women and families in Indianapolis. The Intern will work directly with the Executive Director to work with families to cultivate opportunities for social capital growth and access to resources. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual to develop skills in nonprofit development work and ultimately learn about working with families.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate activities with area activities for virtual and on-site programs
• Facilitate workshops and group activities
• Assist with data collection
• Coordinate and conduct outreach efforts with our volunteers and staff specific to chronic illness prevention
• Foster networking and community building with participants
• Promote and support current CWUW activities
• Provide written reports to the Executive Director
Qualifications
• Interest in Public Health or Social Services; or progress towards a Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Education or related field.
• Valid Indiana State driver’s license.
• A history background check will be performed on qualified candidates.
