Summer Youth Program Intern

Description

TSC is looking for a qualified young adult, to join our team as a full-time seasonal (summer) paid intern. TSC offers experiential STEM programming for youth. TSC works with schools, families, and other youth-serving organizations to provide award-winning, relevant services that empower and impact youth for today and tomorrow. Interns should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment. At the end of the internship, interns will have gained broad experience in various aspects of experiential STEM education, nonprofit organizations, and a professional work environment. Interns primarily provide program support for summer camps and field trips.

Responsibilities

-Assist in facilitating programming: primarily summer day camps, and occasional field trips or other events and opportunities.

-Help organize, collect, prepare, and manage materials for programming.

-Participate in garden and farm maintenance, wildlife conservation, sustainability practices, and water quality analysis.

-Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

-A desire to work with and serve youth

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Driven, patient, and hard-working

-Ability to take direction and multi-task

-Experience with Google applications (Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.) is a plus

-Majoring in education, communication, or a STEM-related field is a plus

-Experience working with youth or with a youth-serving company or organization is a plus

-Successful completion of a background check

-Completion of TSC Onboarding, Youth Protection Training, Summer Staff Training

-Ability to work full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm) June 2-Aug. 1, 2025 (off June 30-July 4)
