Chemist - Summer

Description

Each intern has a direct supervisor that is a high-level leader within the organization, to ensure maximum learning and benefit to the student. They will work closely with their supervisor for education, check-in points, deliverables and feedback. The goal is for each student to gain as many applicable real-world skills as possible, to ensure success in their future careers, whether that's in the same industry or not.

The chemistry intern will learn the skills required of a cosmetic bench chemist. The goal is to graduate their skills over the course of the internship from level 1 (basic lab tech / QA skills) all the way to level 4, research and development of new products. On a tight 4 month timeline, this is difficult to achieve except for the best students, but every intern would get a taste of each of our 4 areas: QA skills, sample batching, full cosmetic batches (500-20,000 pcs) and research and development. This is a true hands-on chemistry intern experience.

Responsibilities

- raw material testing, documentation

- full batching of real products in commerce (500-20,000 pc batches)

- testing of formulations (stability, PET, stress tests during R&D)

Qualifications

- 1 year wet lab experience (academic setting fine)

- Great attitude, willingness to learn

- Excellent proactive communication!
