Boiling Cactus Productions is excited to announce our inaugural short film, Trade-Off. We are a passionate and innovative film production company, and we are looking for a dynamic Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the film industry and be a part of our groundbreaking project from start to finish.
Role Overview:
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in our marketing efforts throughout the lifecycle of the film. You will be involved in pre-production, production, post-production, and theater release marketing activities. Your creative input and organizational skills will help us build and maintain an engaging social media presence for Trade-Off.
Duration: Up to 8 Months (Flexible) **This internship is available for the duration of the film, however, if needed for credit hours, it can be broken down to fit semester requirements. There are 3 segments to the internship: pre-production, production and post-production. An intern is welcome to stay for the duration or for a semester.

Responsibilities
Social Media Planning & Posting: Develop and manage a social media calendar. Create and schedule engaging posts across platforms including Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Marketing Materials: Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as graphics, posters, and promotional content.
Promotional Campaign Design: Collaborate with the production team to design and implement a comprehensive promotional campaign for the film.
Content Creation & Distribution: Work on content for pre-production, production, post-production, and theater release phases based on provided guidelines.
Email List Management: Create and manage email list links for social media outreach.
Graphic Design: Utilize graphic design skills to produce visually appealing content.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as needed to support the marketing efforts
Qualifications
- Social Media Savvy: Proficient with Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
- Graphic Design Skills: Experience in basic graphic design and creating visual content.
- Creative & Analytical: Ability to blend creative ideas with analytical skills to produce effective social media campaigns.
- Strong Work Ethic: Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Flexible & Adaptive: Willingness to adapt to varying responsibilities and hours throughout the project.
