The Role
We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our team for the summer. This individual will provide valuable experience in Tier 1 support while focusing on IT inventory management as a primary project. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual who is eager to learn and contribute to our IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain IT inventory and assets.
- Support the IT department and Peterman employees by handling help desk calls and emails to resolve user issues.
- Assist with creating and maintaining employee account information.
- Assist in the day-to-day activities of the IT Department, ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely.
- Provide technical assistance, support, and administrative tasks related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Deploy and set up equipment (PCs, Laptops, Docking Stations, Monitors, Printers and Scanners).
- Collaborate with the IT team to help maintain and improve our local IT processes and procedures.
- Attend community events and represent Peterman Brothers in a professional and engaging way
- Be engaged and actively participate in weekly Professional Development Workshops
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications

Education - Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to multi-task, follow up and adapt
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) would be helpful
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspect of job responsibilities
- CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
