Description
The Recruiting & Retention Intern is responsible for supporting the recruitment and retention processes by connecting with applicants and ensuring an efficient hiring process. This role focuses on processing applicants, maintaining high levels of associate satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with hiring laws. The intern will also engage in making recruiting calls to increase the number of interviews and successful placements within the business unit.
Interns will report to the business unit branch manager and will receive the same onboarding training all employees experience including a combination of classroom, online learning, and hands on training.
Learning Outcomes:
· Understand the full recruitment lifecycle, from applicant to successful placement.
· Exposure to HR Laws and HR Tasks including offboarding, coaching, unemployment, workers compensation, and more.
· Enhance verbal and written communication skills, particularly in profession and client facing settings.
· Learn to engage and retain clients and associates by providing exceptional customer service.
· Gain experience managing front desk operations and contributing to overall office efficiency.
· Learn how to use recruiting calls and various sources to boost interview rates and placements.
· Learn how to manage through multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Applicant Processing & Engagement: Assist in processing applicants through various stages of the hiring process while ensuring a positive experience. Engage with applicants during the application process, orientations, and follow-up calls.
- Front Desk Efficiency: Contribute to creating efficiencies at the front desk to minimize wait times for associates and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Recruiting Calls: Schedule and conduct recruiting calls to boost the number of interviews and successful placements.
- Client & Associate Communication: Handle incoming calls from clients and associates, addressing their requests or directing them to the appropriate staff for prompt assistance.
- Increased Applicant Flow: Drive higher applicant numbers through effective recruiting calls, engagement, and execution of recruitment programs.
- Enhanced Associate Satisfaction: Improve associate satisfaction by creating a welcoming and efficient environment during all interactions.
- Improved Client Retention: Contribute to higher client retention rates by delivering exceptional customer service during phone interactions.
