Education Intern
Description
Sandy Oak Ranch is a public wildlife park offering an exciting internship program. Interns will have the opportunity to engage in diverse job responsibilities, helping them to develop and enhance skills for their future careers. With a wide range of tasks available, our internship program enables participants to explore potential career paths they may not have previously considered. A key component of our program is centered around animal care. As a newly established company, having opened in 2023, interns will also have the opportunity to select a career path within our organization if it aligns with their interests. They will receive direct supervision and mentorship from the owners themselves and participate in a training course.
Responsibilities
The Zoo Education Intern will engage and educate visitors about our animals and conservation efforts. Interns will work directly with the public and should be familiar with the layout of our wildlife park and how to talk to guests. Interns will lead field trips, help/supervise students, and provide a fun learning environment.
