Description

As an IT Intern with our firm, you will be supervised and initially trained by our COO. You will receive training from our external IT Manged Services provider to get oriented to our helpdesk system, remote access system, and secruity protocol. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our Director of Innovation and Technology to learn about our design software and assist him with a variety of projects.

Position Overview:
As an IT Intern, you will work alongside our design professionals and business leaders to manage and maintain the firm’s technological infrastructure. You will provide support for software, hardware, and networking issues, help troubleshoot problems and contribute to the efficient operation of our office technology. You will work closely with our team of designers, support staff and business professionals, ensuring they have the technical resources they need to excel in their roles.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for staff members.
  • Provide technical support for the firm’s computers, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Help set up and configure new workstations and hardware for employees, as well as set up and configure hardware in conference rooms and shared work spaces.
  • Conduct employee technology security trainings and collaborative with the firms Managed IT Services provider to monitor use and adherence of firm security measures.
  • Help maintain and organize the firm’s IT inventory, including software licenses and hardware assets.
  • Escalate all complex issues to the firm’s Managed IT Services provider.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s Director of Innovation & Technology to optimize technology tools specific to the firm’s needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related program.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity tools.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
