Marketing Intern (Paid)
Description
Since 1968, HealthNet has improved the health status of Indianapolis’ inner-city neighborhoods by making quality health services accessible to everyone. Through our network of 10 community-based, comprehensive primary care health centers, a Mobile Health Center, 2 school-based health centers, and support services, HealthNet annually provides affordable health care to nearly 60,000 individuals – many of whom live at or below the federal poverty level.
Interns will be supervised by the Marketing Director and also work closely with the Chief External Affairs Officer. The marketing team will meet with the intern at the start of their internship to discuss individual goals, interests, weekly tasks, and a semester-long project. The semester-long project will provide interns a real work example and experience they can take with them for their portfolio once the internship ends. Interns will meet with their supervisor weekly, but will also have access via phone, email, text, or chat at any time during their scheduled hours.
Responsibilities
HealthNet’s Marketing Department plays a vital role in raising awareness about the services we provide, including promoting and expanding the reach of our Mobile Health Center. Interns gain hands-on experience in key areas such as community outreach, event planning, publication design, social media planning and strategy, internal communications, marketing, and website content writing. This opportunity allows interns to make a direct impact by helping connect more individuals to essential health care services.
Qualifications
Must be in junior or senior year of college. Experience in InDesign and Canva preferred. We accept Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications majors. Part time, paid ($16 for 15 hours a week). We will work with you on any class credit requirements. This position is in-person with virtual potential.
