Description
Southwest Commercial Roofing offers a comprehensive 8-week internship program designed to provide business students with an immersive learning experience across multiple business functions. Interns will receive direct supervision from department heads and key managers in marketing, project management, sales, purchasing/controlling, finance, and repair technician divisions.
Mentorship will be provided by experienced professionals in each department, offering personalized guidance and insights into the commercial roofing industry. Learning goals include:
- Developing a holistic understanding of business operations
- Gaining practical exposure to different business functions
- Enhancing problem-solving and analytical skills
- Building professional networking capabilities
- Understanding the commercial roofing industry’s unique challenges and opportunities
Responsibilities
Interns will engage in a structured learning experience that goes beyond administrative tasks:
- Rotate through six key departments, spending one week in each area
- Observe and participate in department-specific activities
- Conduct in-depth research on company operations
- Develop a comprehensive solution to a significant business challenge
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation to company leadership
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative projects
- Contribute insights and fresh perspectives to departmental operations
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should:
- Be currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or related field
- Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills
