Hello, Iām Favian and I am proud to be part of the Indiana INTERNnetās team as the 2019 spring intern. I am currently a senior at IUPUI Kelley School of Business where I am finishing up my bachelorās in marketing and I will be graduating this May!
I used to live in North Carolina, but my parents decided to move to Indiana when I was 3 years old, and I have spent most of my life here. Growing up I played several sports such as basketball, baseball and football to keep me out of trouble. A few fun facts about me are: I really like to play Fortnite in my spare time; I like shoes; and I like Supreme merchandise a lot.
I am also currently the content marketing intern for the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) at IUPUI. I help the IAC with their marketing tactics and content creation to help local manufacturing companies sign up for free energy audits sponsored by the Department of Energy. I am also involved in the Capital Investment club and serve as the marketing director by promoting club events and meetings. Also in my spare time (if I have any), I volunteer at a local Boys & Girls Club that I attended since I was 5 years old where I am a mentor to the younger kids. I like to work with digital content because I can be creative and can share my creativity with others.
I like giving back to my community, helping other people and providing them with support just how people have helped me through my journey. I am excited to assist Indiana INTERNnet with blogs, social media and increase student engagement. I want to provide other students with resources to help them further their career goals and be successful with internship opportunities. I believe that I can accomplish many of my goals here and I am excited to get started!
