Meet the Intern: Alysse Harges
Hello!
My name is Alysse Harges, and I am very excited to be the outreach intern for spring 2020 here at Indiana INTERNnet.
Iām a second semester senior at Ball State University studying public relations with a double minor in sociology and natural resources. Originally from the Windy City, I attended Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences and graduated from DeVry University Advantage Academy. I played tennis and volleyball during my high school career, but my favorite was track and field. I am a huge fan of city living and iced coffee on a hot summer day.
On campus, Iām a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the largest coeducational service fraternity in the U.S. I serve on both the service and pledge committee, taking an active role in orchestrating service projects and bringing in a new class of initiates. My favorite place …
Meet The Intern: Favian Aveja
Hello, Iām Favian and I am proud to be part of the Indiana INTERNnetās team as the 2019 spring intern. I am currently a senior at IUPUI Kelley School of Business where I am finishing up my bachelorās in marketing and I will be graduating this May!
I used to live in North Carolina, but my parents decided to move to Indiana when I was 3 years old, and I have spent most of my life here. Growing up I played several sports such as basketball, baseball and football to keep me out of trouble. A few fun facts about me are: I really like to play Fortnite in my spare time; I like shoes; and I like Supreme merchandise a lot.
I am also currently the content marketing intern for the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) at IUPUI. I help the IAC with their marketing tactics and …
Meet the Intern: Marissa Smith
Hello, my name is Marissa and I am excited to be Indiana INTERNnetās intern for the summer of 2018. I have just wrapped up my junior year at IUPUI, where I study journalism, public relations and advertising.
Prior to relocating to Indianapolis for college, I attended high school near my hometown of Losantville, Ind. Though Indy is a relatively small city, it is huge compared to Losantville, which has a population of less than 300 people! I definitely prefer city living and plan to move somewhere even larger later on in my career.
My previous positions have all been communications or event management related, taking place at locally-based organizations such as the Indiana State Museum, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis, and Indiana Futsal. In addition to my new position here, I am also currently interning with HWC Engineering as part of the firmās pilot program creating public relations plans for …
