Mental Health America of Hendricks County

Mental Health America of Hendricks County

About
Founded in 1953, Mental Health America of Hendricks County has been a steadfast beacon of hope for over seven decades.
Our mission extends beyond eradicating the stigma of mental illness; it’s about giving a voice to those silenced by their struggles and advocating fiercely for their rights. We tirelessly promote mental wellness and prevent the tragic loss of life to suicide in Hendricks County and its surrounding communities, offering a lifeline through information and referral services, education, individual advocacy, and peer support. Our commitment is to forge connections, provide solace, and guide individuals toward the help they need, always with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and utmost confidentiality.
MHAHC is proud to be one of more than 200 affiliates of Mental Health America National, working in unison to improve the mental health of all Americans, especially the 54 million people with mental disorders, through advocacy, education, research, and service. Together with our fellow affiliates, we strive to unite mental health consumers, their families/loved ones, advocates, and other agencies and service providers for collaboration and action.
