Description

The IT Help Desk Intern will play a crucial role in delivering quality technology support, working closely with the Help Desk Team under the direct supervision of the Help Desk Analyst and IT Infrastructure Manager. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various IT functions.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional technology support under the direct supervision of the Help Desk Analyst and IT Infrastructure Manager.

  2. Gain training and execute tasks related to technology support, including the deployment of new equipment, software installation, and equipment inventory.

  3. Assist with various IT projects, contributing to the overall functioning of the IT team.

  4. GOALS OF THE INTERNSHIP:

    1. Learn various facets of Information Services and Technology through hands-on experiences.

    2. Acquire practical knowledge in the technology arena.

    3. Develop interpersonal skills and learn to work effectively with different personality types.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of sophomore standing at a college/university

2. Experience working with technology and an interest in pursuing a computer-related field. 

3. Strong presentation and customer service skills.

4. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that values diversity.

5. Interact with visitors and co-workers in a supportive, positive, and friendly manner.

7. Attention to detail, the ability to keep highly sensitive, proprietary information in strict confidence; and flexibility to handle multiple tasks and requests. 

ADA REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to perform extensive work in indoor and outdoor environments, to perceive space, to read documents and diagrams, and to view computer monitors.

2. Must be able to communicate in planning and implementation situations; must have the ability to express presentations of ideas. Team and group dialogue is required for the communication of plans and concepts. 

3. Must be able to sit, stand, squat, kneel, and lift objects to 30lbs of weight.
