Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and training. The ideal candidate will gain valuable insights into HR practices within the home care and disabilities industry, supporting both administrative tasks and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination

  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documents and conducting orientation sessions

  • Help maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and wellness activities

  • Assist with scheduling and tracking employee training and certifications

  • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements

  • Support HR projects related to Structured Family Care program training and development

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR support as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for helping others
