Description
The Theater Education Intern supports Constellation’s theater and film education offerings, including its various camps, classes, competitions, and workshops. Associates will receive hands on experience in arts camp and workshop education including curriculum development, classroom instruction, arts program marketing, and arts education program evaluation techniques.
This position is a great way to learn all about youth performing arts education and will serve as springboard to other areas of arts education.
Position is flexible, but candidates would need to be available EITHER for 4 weeks in June (10-15 hours/week) OR 3 weeks in July (15-20 hours/week).
Responsibilities
- Support education operations, including curriculum development and youth summer camp supervision.
- Support education communication as needed, including program marketing and other public education outreach.
- Serve as associate instructor to lead instructors of camps and classes for youth.
Qualifications
- Ability to solve problems in a professional manner
- A commitment to quality work
- Basic Computer Skills
- Interest in learning and participating in other aspects of theatre administration as part of a team
