Our internship program offers valuable, real-world experience for anyone interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain exposure to a variety of tasks related to running a pharmacy while directly supporting the care of individuals served by Damar. You’ll work alongside pharmacists and technicians, learning the ins and outs of the profession in a collaborative clinic environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with prescribers and clinic staff, all while receiving mentorship and guidance to support your career development.

Responsibilities

Remarkable way you will make a difference...

  • Experiencing day-to-day pharmacy activities including filling prescriptions, talking on the phone and putting away orders.
  • Inventory management.
  • Research projects on medications, disease states or pharmacy management.
  • Patient counseling depending on level of education. 
  • Community outreach programs. 
  • Cleans and maintains supplies in pharmacy.

Qualifications

What you need to start...

• High school diploma or GED.

• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
• No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
