Position Overview: ROCKaBLOCK is seeking a motivated and creative high school student for an unpaid Graphic Design Internship. This position offers hands-on experience in graphic design, shop management, and event support, making it perfect for students who want to learn the ropes of a creative business while building valuable skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing items such as T-shirts, logos, flyers, banners, and social media posts.
  • Support the screen printing process, including printing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment.
  • Help keep the work area clean and organized to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage and organize digital files and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Assist in managing stock and supplies, ensuring materials are in order and ready for use.
  • Provide support for events by helping with preparation, setup, and breakdown.
  • Assist clients in the shop, answering questions and providing general support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in high school with a keen interest in graphic design, visual arts, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar) is a plus but not required.
  • Strong creativity, a willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • A responsible attitude and ability to take initiative in tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to take direction and constructive feedback positively.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks like cleaning and organizing equipment.
