GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students and young professionals to gain hands-on experience in community services, case management, and nonprofit operations. Interns will support staff in assisting individuals and families with access to housing, food security, healthcare, and transportation services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client assessments to determine needs and eligibility for services.
  • Support case managers in developing service plans and providing resources to clients.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to connect underserved populations with program services.
  • Help with data entry, client record maintenance, and service tracking.
  • Research and compile information on community resources and referrals.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and community events.
  • Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, filing, and scheduling appointments.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and learning opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in social services, nonprofit work, and community outreach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Pass background check
  • Bilingual (English and at least one language of Burma) strongly preferred.
