Description
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Burmese American Community Institute (BACI) is a dynamic, forward-looking, and growing organization. We seek well-qualified, highly motivated, creative, and solutions-oriented candidates to join us. This position participates and assists with coordination activities of staff, convention personnel, or clients to make arrangements for group meetings, events, or conferences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, designing, implementation and evaluation of events and meetings
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that
- Confer with staff at a chosen event site to coordinate
- Inspect event facilities to ensure that space accommodation requirements are
- Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing, and event security.
- Organize registration of event
- Meet with sponsors to plan scope and format of events, to establish and monitor budgets, or to review administrative procedures and event
- Review event bills for accuracy, and get the payment
- Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event
- Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services for
- Negotiate contracts with such service providers and suppliers as hotels, convention centers, and
- Maintain records of event aspects, including financial
- Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved and prepare the
- Participate in developing event topics and choosing featured
- Help design and implement efforts to publicize events and promote
