Description

The Experience Production Paint Shop Intern will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual environment of the Museum by performing painting tasks across the Museum and various exhibits. This position will involve both routine production painting and detailed artistic work, ensuring that the Museum’s spaces are vibrant and well-maintained. The intern will also be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the paint shop.

Responsibilities

  • Check work orders on Limble every morning and perform necessary touch-ups around the Museum before it opens.
  • Conduct repainting projects on gallery walls and detailed painting on structures for exhibits within the paint shop.
  • Gain training and execute tasks related to paint shop operations, including the preparation of materials, equipment maintenance, and inventory management of painting supplies.
  • Assist with various painting projects, contributing to the overall functioning of the Experience Production and Facilities teams.
  • Maintain an organized workspace by ensuring all paint cans are labeled and cleaning up after every task, as well as during downtime.
  • Properly close up the shop when necessary, ensuring all lights, water, and ventilation systems are turned off and securing the doors.
