Accounting Intern

A Damar Internship offers a hands-on, real-world experience while providing valuable leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the individuals we serve. Our program is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing a career in accounting. The Accounting Intern will assist with various accounting functions across the agency. Key responsibilities align with Damar’s Strategic Plan and meet the requirements for Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Books revenue at the end of each month.
• Provides support with month-end processing, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, reconciliations, and reports.
• Assists with financial report preparation bi-monthly.
• Actively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices and service delivery.
• Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances.
• Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner.
• Assists employees with questions, problems, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
• Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
• No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
